My experience of Forever Resorts is that all their resorts are tops.

Baie netjies en skoon. Lekker restaurant en buffet ontbyte. Loer onder resorts vir my terugvoering. Gaan gerus.

We looked in at Blyde River on our initial tour while on a day drive from Swadini but never went back with the van. It‘s on my to camp list.

Any updates for Blyde River Canyon ? I have it on my planning list for next years tour. It's a campsite which we have never camped at. Been Forever Resort I know the facilities should be good and clean. How is security ?

Hi Brian, the campsite area is neat and well maintained, the campsites are long and narrow, having said that we did just fit our exclusive in with double tent across the width [ the narrow side ] plenty of shade all-over. Most stands are paved but they are rather close to each other however we were the only longtermmers there in the 2 months we stayed there so was never an issue, almost every afternoon a handful of overnighters would come , put up there roof top tents and we gone early the next day

A troop of baboons would pass through every day followed by a troop on monkeys so you wouldn't leave food stuff in your tent, security patrol the area at intervals during the day and the evening but apart from that we felt comfortable and safe at all times. The surrounding area felt pleasant and safe, we even went to the local government hospital a little down the road with a minor emergency and everything felt very normal.

They have a shop onsite thats open 7 days a week and they do have most essentials in stock, a fuel station is at the park entrance. Graskop is 50km away , a little town with a spar outlet for all your supplies

Places we went to ;  Graskop lift co,[ a must go ] burkes luck potholes, gods window, berlin falls, Lisbon falls. The above are all in-between the campsite and Graskop, except the lift co  which is a km past Graskop. Further a field we went to mac mac falls, mac mac pools, pilgrims rest and even further afield we visited the Sudwala caves and dinosaur park. 

Thanks George, we did most of those activities while we were at Swadini but it's time to revisit. We thinking of possibly 1 month at Eiland, a month Safari Park to pop into the KNP a few times before moving on to Swadini and one month at Blyde. Putting all of this onto the tour schedule and we will refine it over the next few months.
