I had a road trip from Melkbos to Nelspruit and back with my new tow vehicle. We were 4 in the Hyundai but I was not towing. My average consumption was 6.2 L/100 km. The photo is of the trip computer on the last leg from Colesberg to Melkbos. Not bad for an AWD 7 seater.

Agreed that is good. What was your average speed? Did you calculate the consumption seperately too to see how accurate the onboard computer is? I am not trying to rain on your parade but experience taught me there always is a difference and it is nice to know what the real figure was. My Kuga for instanve was about 7% optimistic over thoudands of kilometer. But even with a large discrepency you will probably find your vehicle' s consumpsion was excellent.

I had the cruise control on 123 km/h when possible. There were many stop and go roadworks that slowed everything down. When refilling it appears that the figure was very close, but every attendant does not fill it the same, so even that is an estimate.
