Could we perhaps get comments from people in Kruger and specific those that were camping at Lower Sabie. Reports are the camp has been closed and all people relocated to other camps.

This is a major smash for some people that were booked here.

"Lower Sabie will be renovated from 13 February 2017 and all clients who are booked at those tents shall be given alternative accommodation in the camp," Mabasa stated. "Should there be no chalets available at Lower Sabie for the booked periods, clients can be accommodated at other camps within the Park," he says. 

An option to refund is also possible. 

On the Lower Sabie accommodation listing there are campsites and chalets available.   The luxury tent accommodation is not listed.  These tents are located on the left past the fuel point as one enters the camp from the main road.    If I read the statement above then it clearly states that persons booked in those tents will be given alternate accommodation in the camp.  It there are no chalets available then accommodation elsewhere in the KNP will be used.   Campers are not affected.

Sien vandag in die media dat Air Link al hul vlugte na en vanaf Skukuza gekanselleer het tot 28 Januarie 2021 weens Covid in Skukuza asook ander kampe en oorde in die omgeweing.
