Greetings fellow campers,we have been Langstaan camping last 2 years and looking to see if there's other spots in western cape maybe in Worcester area for example?Any and all assistance greatly appreciated 

Hi Lance, I don't know about long term but we went cherry picking at Klondyke Cherry Fatm, high in the mountains near Ceres (where the public normally has access to the snow, when it snows).

They have camp sites under very tall pine trees. To the side nice exlorable veld. Heard and saw plenty of birds around.

Tar access.

Nobody was camping there, but day visitors, come to pick cherries. R95 per kg.

No snow at the moment, car temp showed 39 on the way back.

Their cherries are lekker, been to Klondyke Cherry Farm had a lovely day there, we were able to eat as many as we wanted while we picked. Darn some of those ladders were tall. Dis not know about the campsite there - was a few years ago maybe it was not established when we went there. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the vicinity.

Lance there are a couple of nice campsites near Robertson 

Skurwekop 

Silverstrand

Rivierzicht River Resort

Then at Montague as well, there is also ATKV Goudini near Worcester - but I believe weekends there are many day visitors so do more enquires before you decide.

Thanks for interrupting feedback,we have contacted most caravan parks and campsites 98%dont do Langstaan and double rates over some school holidays.

We can understand rate increases especially Christmas period but double the rates and or no pension discount is heavy.

Have you tried Vanzylsrus in Kuilsrivier very nice well run park. They do longstay and offer pensioners discount. I seem to recall over christmas to get the better rate you need to stay 2 months you can check with them.

That is because there is no right turn lane on Bottleray Road when approaching from the R300 side. Google then takes you through Brackenfell to approach Vanzylsrus  on Jacranda Street crossing over Bottleray Road into VanZylsRus . Unfortunately the entrance into VanZyls is quite steep for long caravan and they will scrape. The better approach is to stay on Bottleray allowing you change the approach angle, which is what I do.

Die ingang daar is op die oomblik nie baie aangenaam, aangesien hulle op die oop stuk grond langs die ingang nou besig is met groot ontwikkeling. Daar is al groot slote gegrou vir waterpype en elektrisiteit. Daar is ook lamppale by daai kruising aangebring, wat al lankal nodig was.
