Caravn park near Barberton to visit Eureka 4x4 trail
14 Jan, 2016 @ 15:03:59 pmWe are visiting KNP with the Caravan in May 2016 and want to do the 4x4 trail via Eureka / Sheba mine near Barberton, which takes a full day.
I cannot find any information on the BARBERTON CARAVAN park which used to be just off the main road in Barberton. Does this still operate? Are there any other sites close to Barberton and the trail?
We would appreciate advise so we can organise.
Nelspriut is a bit far as are Melalane and Badplass.

14 Jan, 2016 @ 16:45:21 pmTry phoning the Tourist Information Centre in Barberton. They should be able to tell you if the caravan park in town is still operational.
The numbers are 0137122880 or 0829596670. Not sure if Astrid still works there.

14 Jan, 2016 @ 17:41:14 pmNearly forgot to mention. Ask them if the 4X4 trail is open to the public. Sometimes Eureka City/Sheba is closed due to illegal mining activities in the area and it can be unsafe.
