This is my way of saying Thank You to our CaravanParks.com Forum Members.
You guys have kept these Forums alive while I was in exile the past 7 years.

You guys are the real Superhero’s and here's why.

I am simply astonished with our CaravanParks.com Forum Members, really, I am astonished.  Yes sure, we have had many leave over the years and have had very little growth / Forums Marketing over the past many years, but for us to still have a community here, I must congratulate every one of you here.

Almost 7 years ago, I was booted out of my own creation - CaravanParks.com.
After serving this industry with passion for over 22 years.
I even missed our CaravanParks.com 25th Anniversary, that went past un-announced, and this was my lowest point in my life… but do not think for a minute that I was not here visiting, watching, looking around wanting to interact or login illegally under another name, I needed to keep myself un-noticed while working out and keeping track on how I was going to get this company back. 

I was “not allowed to interact, speak to / contact may this be directly or indirectly, to anyone in the industry, nor even think of CaravanParks.com, nor compete with CaravanParks.com” – this was a direct clause within my messy divorce settlement.
I felt like I was just another Steve Jobs, removed from his own creation, like with Apple Computers.

The exact date was 1 December 2019 - I was removed “unwillingly and very immediately” and this almost destroyed me emotionally, well it did kind of.
But I am born Afrikaans, but only speak to my mom in Afrikaans, “My pa het my Engles gebliksim”  
-so now I can only explain myself, in English.  

Over the past 7 years, I had various Non-Disclosure Agreements, various Restraint of Trades against me, due to an unfortunate and messy divorce.
- They only love you until they want your stuff, and I had a little too many “stuffs”.

But then... I decided to take the long road to get this creation and company back, it has been very long road and it has been very costly personally, may I say... 

But as of 5 June 2026, the holding company SALTN Marketing PTY, along with CaravanParks.com, and all the assets, all the staff and the client base, and all the related Intellectual Property is now back in my name.

But the main reason for this topic is you guys, along with two very dedicated staff at our CaravanParks.com office, Brian & Sean started at CaravanParks.com over 18 years ago and they kept things going, while waiting for me to return, or if I could or would ever return.

I wish to Thank everyone right here on these CaravanParks.com Forums.
I wish to extend my absolute gratitude to everyone that kept these CaravanParks.com Forums alive. 

It is without a doubt that your dedication and continued interaction needs to be recognized by everyone within this wonderful caravan & camping industry. 
We salute you; we thank you; we are so blessed to have such amazing Community of CaravanParks.com Forum Members here.  You have dedicated so many hours assisting so many campers needing advice here.  – Because, It’s a passion.

Hi Gonnie.  Big and many stars to you for keeping the issues behind the curtains at bay.  I can still remember the times we chatted and exchanged ideas for the Resort Rating System. That was a few years back by itself.  In essence it is all about what the actual user feels/experience of a resort.  You guys put a lot of effort into it then. We must however make it more visible even for the "NOT Forum Members" out there.  All must see the benefit in it. Connect it to facebook, twitter whatever possible.

Glad you are back in full force. And I think that its way past due date for a CP.com saamtrek.

Now we can build again on this forum.

It's an absolute honor to be serving this industry once again.

Yes, I have so much catching up to do, fixing things, reintroducing office systems and procedures and reintroducing my previous office visual planning systems, uplifting and training staff, providing a solid and clear staff mandate of our actual role in this industry, just like it was years ago.   "Back to the Future with CaravanParks.com"

I will keep all our internal fixing and streamlining to myself, but let me tell you it's a little messy inside... but this is not a job, it's a passion.

Geert (Relaxed Camper), you were the first Forum Member to know I am back, you saw my personal Face Book post and picked up my hint from there.

Leon, yes... I have noticed that the Resort Rating System is not very visible or accessible via Mobile browsing, like it used to be... this is already in development and Sean has already gotten my brief..  the past years of changes to CaravanParks.com has completely "missed the point" of providing "ease of use" in providing quick and easy access to the Resort Ratings and Forums sections. 

They simply built stuff over the past 7 years but did not view it from a campers point of view.

-Anyway, this is an important point you raised Leon, and I saw this a few years back already, but was not allowed to make contact with any staff back then.. This was one of the first things I sent to Sean in development.

So... shortly everyone will see a much better navigation system, with much more emphasis on Rating a Resort and Joining the Forums as part of this improvement, especially via Mobile Phone browsing.

Thank you once again... as I mentioned before, we have already paid for the Forum Flags the other day, and today i sent off the artwork to the printers and they should be printing the flags this week.

But I have a few other goodies to make as well that will be sent with the Flags, so it's not just Flags we are waiting for... it's a few other goodies as well...
