Cape Vidal KZN
Is Cape Vidal accesable with a conventional caravan any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks, Graham
Hi Graham,
A friend of mine was there 3 weeks ago. He sid it all tarr roads, with no potholles. He said the best road is via Pongola. Hope it helps.
Greetings,
Philip
Yeah we were also there a few weeks ago, although just to drive through the reserve and we drove through the caravan park as well just to have a look see. Definetly no problem to access with a conventional caravan.
Only problem is monkeys,
Thanks for your input!
Finger problem
must be!!!!!
Do you or anyone know anything of Futululu Park, 18km from St. Lucia? It's in the Futululu forest, part of the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park (iSimangaliso Wetland). It has camping sites and chalets. 3 Years ago someone had bad experience with the level of quality there as written on the Forum, but the latest website from the park shows upgraded facilities. How save is it now to be there? Regards: Michael.
Is it easy to to the caravan park through the narrow road close to the entrance we have a tall caravan ( not collapsible ) and we always seem to have a problem where the trees are so low.
Hallo Margy
We go to cape vidal twice a year. We have a Jurgens exclusive and we've never had any problems with low branches.
When are you going?
Thanks for the input appreciate your reply
Dagse almal. Baie dankie
Rudie Welcome to the forum. Sorry it's a bit late with the welcome.
Your post seems to have been missed here with your request.
Perhaps if you start a new thread with the resort name in the title other members will respond quicker.
Sorry I have no info on any resort at Arabie Dam.
Brian, perhaps he chose the wrong day for asking that info!!! 1st April!!!
Hi
We have just moved to KZN.. There seem to be limited caravan parks on the North Coast and not to many reports on the existing ones. Does anyone have ideas of sites north of Richards Bay? These must be Motorhome friendly.
Vidal is the best of bush and sea. But getting very pricy.
Yes...I read the artical in the latest Wegsleep magazine
I believe there is alot of monkey trouble at Cape Vidal how bad is it and how is it in June /July season

It boils down to you packing your food and things away. If the can't see and smell it they will leave you alone. Give the kids a lazers pointer to chase them away. Important only chase them with the laser around your camp site. They learn quickly and will stay away from that area. If you chase them from everywhere they just move around in the camp.
GOD IS ALTYD TEENWOORDIG
Sonder Jesus is ek niks! ! ! !
Lasar pointers in the hands of kids is not to be recommended. Apart from the kids abusing the use of the lasar, monkeys are not scared of kids and might attack them.
Apparntly the only laser that works for monkeys is the green lasar and then it must be shined into its face.![]()
There are also legal issues regarding the strength of the beam.
We are going to Cape Vidal next week. The sites that are still available are 15, 17, 18, 29 and 38. We will be in a Penta. Which site would you recomend?
Groete,
Paul.
