Hope someone can help please.

I have a Gypsey regal 1994 that I am redoing.

I need someone to please help me with the measurements where the roof shocks mount on the caravan.

I replaced all the sheet metal so there is no indication where the old shock brackets where mounted.

If someone has the same caravan they most probably will be able to provide you with the measurements.

I have some info at home that will assist you in where to attach the mounting brackets in relation to the length of the gaslifter.  I have used it to install gaslifters for the maid bed of a caravan.

If you want I can forward the info.

Then just a tip:

I have seen on a few caravans that the small bracket which is used to secure the gas lifter on the roof of the caravan cause fine cracks around the little bracket.  This in turn was a concern for me in terms of possible woodrot.  So I made a S/steel plate about 80mm x 80mm that formed a base for the little bracket.  So I increased the footprint of the bracket.

You will also have to tell us what measurements you need.  From where to where must the measurements be taken.

If anybody has a caravan like this i would just like them to measure the distance for me for the front and rear shock mounting bracket.

Any fixed point can be used to measure,just let me know which point they are going to use 🤣🤣🤣 

I tried mounting it more or less from looking at a photo but the roof doesnt close properly.you can feel it is pulling more forwards when closing due to the shocks not mounted on the correct place
