Gypsry 4B Water pipe come loose in Bathroom basin
The water pipe has come off the tap in the basin in the bathroom.
How do I remove the basin and backing to fix it?
Hi Malcolm
You will have to post a picture of the basin set up. What model caravan do you have?

On my Exclusive basin tap. Maybe similar.

Hi Malcolm
I was suspecting that it was the flip-up type of basin that drops the water in a cavity to flow out. First thing is to see if you can get access to the bottom of the tap when the basin is at an 45 degree angle. If it is possible to reach the pipes from the cavity where you normally dump the used water in, you must try to remove the basin to get to the pipes. Wedge a screw driver inbetween the basin and the plastic wall mould, the area where the basin is hinged, and lift that side up, as the flexibility of the flat surface above the basin side will make that easier. There should not be any pipes connected to the basin. Maybe you can wedge the hinge up and out on the one side of the basin. If that is not possible you will need to strip the panel from the wall.
When the basin is folded open you will see two plastic plugs above the soap disk in either corner. If you remove them there should be screws behind that holds the plastic pannel gainst the back wall. Look for other similar plugs as there would be screws behind them as well. Check if you can tilt the mould away from the wall and lift it, if not there should be more screws lower behind the toilet as well. To remove them you will have to remove the toilet.
On the out side pull out the cassette and look for the screws that holds the toilet to the floor, and maybe the the wood panel on the side same as the plastic mould you are trying to remove. Undo them then you should be able to slide the toilet away from the plasric mould.
There should be some screws to assist with holding the basin mould against the wall. If you undo them the mould should tilt forward away from the wall to give you access to the pipes.
I do hope for your sake that the panel is held in place with only the screws and not silcone as well.
I have never strip a basin like this myself but did see one that was already removed.
Best of luck.
