Hi everyone.  We are planning to go to the Natal South Coast during December holidays.  We would like to over night in the Pietermaritzburg area.  I will camp in my Caravan and my daughter will need a chalet for the evening. Her caravan is very small and packed to the brim.

Can suggestions on accommodation. Near the N3 if possible.

Dis nou nie Pietermaritzburgh nie....maar ideale stop oppad see toe

Ek het gaan kyk daarna maar dis te naby aan Gauteng.  Ek soek oornag plek Howick of Pietermaritzburg omgewing.

Miskien Midmar dam oorweeg?

Ons wil met ons volgende trip af see toe oorstaan by Wagendrift dam.....dis so n uur vanaf Howick. Ek het op YouTube gaan loer....lyk mooi omgewing, wil onder damwal gaan stap wat klompie grade oorhang na buite

Leon, if you prepared to go a little further there is Queensbrugh Caravan Resort on the outskirts of Durban.

We spent a month there very well run park neat ablutions and they have chalets as well.

The other alternative is at Midmar Dam before Pietermaritsburg. (Monroe Bay Midmar Dam - KZN WIldlife, Morgenzon Camping Midmar Dam - KZN WIldlife or Dukuduku Campsite Midmar Dam - KZN Wildlife)

We were there end May to end June 2023.

I wonder how far the roadworks are on the N3 around Pietermaritzburg , was not lekker going through that part.
