1999 Sprite Splash
Good day Everyone,
WHo knows perhaps what is the weight of the 1999 sprite splash, I believe the weight should be the same through out the year ranges? I'm looking to fitt linear actuators to lift my caravan roof automaticaly?
Regards,
Rudolf
Tell me more about the linear actuators please. I am considering doing the same but Google has not been of great help.
Google didn’t help because I never called it a “linear actuator”!
My idea is still in the design process, Basically the initial design consist of fitting 4 linnear actuators, 1 at each corner at a predetermined distance then linking the 2 actuators together, 2x front and 2x back, so when you park, you basically use a remote to open the roof. When you packup, you retract the acctuators and once it is inplace you lock the roof inplace.
My oom het dit op sy Regal se dak installeer omdat hy al hoë ouderdom os en sukkel om dak te lig. Dink hy het by caravan fitment centre in Pretoria laat doen

The actuators comes in various lengths. We use them regularly for various aplications here at work. Communica will be able to assists. Remember the following:
- The actuators are not sinconized. It means that if you put two on one switch both of them will not reach full extend at the same time.
- They are strong as they are also used to push most movers agains the wheel of the caravan
- Because they are strong take care of the mounting points where they are and how they are mounted specially if its mounted like the gaslifters.
- You will need some or other electronics to control them sincronized.
This could be a great project. The roof of the Okapi caravan lifts up this way. Just press a button.
