Berg River Resort

Situated on the outskirts of Paarl along the Berg River, between vineyards and citrus orchards, this resort is an ideal location for your next family holiday. Book a chalet or camping site next to the river and enjoy the beautiful view of the Boland Mountains.

From here one can also easily explore the neighboring Wineland towns of Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. There are 15 self-catering, family chalets that can cater for up to 6 people. These range from a bachelor-style chalet to ones with a lounge/ kitchen, two bedrooms and bathroom.

Approximately 150 spacious, partially grassed stands for tents or caravans are shaded by large trees and are equipped with 15 amp power outlets. Berg River Resort is a family-orientated resort, for people who are interested in outdoor relaxation. Please note that we do not allow groups without prior arrangement. The river is a great attraction for swimming and canoeing.

Many hours of fun can be spent drifting lazily on a huge tube or boat. Additional facilities include a 3.5m deep swimming pool, separate kiddies pool, a water-slide, Jungle- gym, mini-golf, trampoline, animal zone. There is a spacious lawn for ball games, a roller-skating rink and practice tennis wall. Bookings for the chalets are essential.

Bookings for the camping sites are only necessary during peak season, otherwise it works on a first come first serve basis. On site in a laundry with washing machines and tumble dryers. Die Winkel, can provide you with your daily needs as well as take-away meals. They hire out boats and canoes and provide pool tables in the games room. Catering for small private functions and group bookings can be arranged with them. Security staff are on duty throughout the night.
