Information
Mokala National Park is the newest addition to the South African National Parks family waiting to be discovered. Mokala is the Tswana word for the Camel Thorn tree (Acacia erioloba) that is common in the area. You can see the elusive roan antelope, tsessebe, African buffalo, giraffe and sable coming to quench their thirst. The Camel thorns complete the African scene. Activities include guided morning, day, sunset and night drives, bush braais, guided rock art engraving drives and breakfasts under a 400 year old camel thorn tree.
