In summer, Cosmos flowers explode into a wildflower carpet that covers the landscape. At Secunda is South Africa's only fuel producing company, Sasol, and the world's largest underground coal mining complex, it is also the only place in the world where gold and coal are mined at the same place at the same time. The area offers great hiking trails, 4x4 routes, fishing, bird watching, game viewing and the Potato Express Steam Train.
