We were welcomed as if we were close family. Every resort is unique in its own way. Depending on the type of getaway you are after and enjoy I can recommend San Cha Len for its peacefulness and quietness. The stands are spacious, paved with many trees around you. Unlike some resorts where your neighbour is on-top of you, no trees, no shade, this resort is not one of them. Every stand has a 'braaier' with a grid that is one piece. The water and power point is close to your site, thus no need for extended extensions. Nice walk ways to the bathrooms in order not to walk in the dust at any time. The bathrooms are clean and big enough not to get dressed on a wet floor after your shower. There were always hot water. This is not a resort for leisure activities, but rather a resort to relax and soak-up the 'bosveld'. For leisure there is a cold pool, inhouse hot water pool, jungle gym with lots of sand to build sand castles, trampoline and put-put. The shop has that emergency ice and wood you forgot at home. Although there is a Caltex garage close-by and town not to far to stock up on the spices and other needed items. The resort is fenced off, with an automated gate and a provided pin to gain access. Not once did we felt unsafe at any time. San Cha Len also houses very very friendly permanent campers whom have nested themselves in. For them it is home. From outside there campsite it looks like home. I can understand why they choose San Cha Len. You too will see why, when you visit San Cha Len. The tranquillity of the 'bosveld' at its best. Will I return, off course! Just for longer.

We made a last minute decision to get away.Decided on San Cha Len and booked.Left the next morning. The 3 km access road to San Cha Len is not great so take it slowly. We were met at the gate and shown where we could stand.Very friendly staff. Disappointed that we only heard when we arrived that the hot pool was not working. The hot pool was one of the reasons we choose San Cha Len! Leason learnt. The sites are extremely spacious and far apart which for me is a huge plus. The campsite is rustic, but spotless. There are signs up in the ablutions and washup area encouraging everyone to clean up after themselves and it seems to work. Went on two game spotting walks, but the only evidence of game we saw were their tracks and droppings. A very restful weekend break.Acceptable value for money.

Great campsite, not to many stands, ablutions clean and very nice. Will we go back? Yes we will.
