Access road was good.
Ablutions very rustic, but clean. Very poor drainage from showers.
Sites are not well marked. And are far from water points.
Lovely outdoor leasure activities. Fishing, dam activities.. jungle gym.
Staff are friendly.
Lovely away from it all atmosphere. But really off the beaten path atmosphere. Rental caravans and log cabins are falling apart.
There is no security.

We had a fabulous stay even though we had to cut our trip short a day due to the weather. There are loads of activities for the kids (who can swim) we hardly saw ours! The ablutions are basic and need a bit of attention but they were cleaned daily and we had hot water and flushing toilets which always makes camping better. The leisure facilities need a bit of attention but we used all the faand still had a fabulous holiday. Julie the owner was fantastic, always available, friendly and caring! There isn't a shop on site only ice, wood and charcoal however spar and tops bottle store are only a few kms away. The sites which we stayed on (10 & 11) were great! They were grassed and flat with dam frontage. There are lots of restaurants, pubs and craft type shops nearby.

This is a very well run resort with very very helpful staff and management Judy is seen all around the place making sure all is well and is super efficient. Being in the midlands and close to Notts there are numerous eating places of very high quality plenty of shops in a village atmosphere and all through the Midlands. Security is excellent and the park is picturesque and very lovely plenty of bird life a magnificent dam for fishing and rowing or swimming. during this time of covid the loos were always clean and disenfected and the sites are far enough apart to meet any social distancing required. All told this is an excellent resort and we have been there 4 times and this wont be our last Well done Glenschielling
04 October 2020 Badger - Gauteng Type of Resort: Quiet and mature without children
With an acceptable access road of only a few hundred meters, this resort appears to cater mainly for bass Fishermen and Hikers. The local village provide most of the local atmosphere with a variety of shops and eating houses that are worth a visit.
The sites for the most part are very basic but do have Taps and Bins close by. The resort appears to be part of or at least on the Midlands Meander which wind pleasantly through the hills.
There is very little in the way of a reception area, office or whatever. You are requested to pay in cash as they do not have card facilities.
The most dissapointing aspect of the resort is however the Totally ramshackle and inadequate " Ablutions and scullery facilities. MOST DISSAPOINTING.

The Wendy House ablutions are not quite the worst we have encountered, but are in serious need of some maintenance and have clearly deteriorated since some of the reviews posted here. Caravan sites not clearly marked or well maintained, but adequate for an overnight stop. No braai facilities in evidence and water taps are few and far between. Electrical points are also very sparse. The park seems generally run down, facilities deteriorated over time and in need of some serious sprucing up to come up to an acceptable standard. Owner Julie very friendly and helpful. Would not return.
