Yellowwood Forest Campsite

Positives: Beautiful setting, close to the beach. The natural forest is a big positive. The onsite restaurant serves good food and reasonable prices. Price per night is very good. Negatives: Campsites not clearly marked, overlapping can take place. Ablutions facilities not adequate to deal with large numbers. Water pressure caused some comical situations.

Yellowwood Forest is an absolute haven. We camped with an off-road caravan, not even five meters from a beautiful stream, on a nice, grassed, spacious stand. We had plenty shade in the morning and ample sun in the afternoon.(Perfect for our solar panels, as we did not have electricity). The staff is VERY friendly and helpful. If you're finicky about privacy, do not come here, as the ablutions are arty-farty, with water pressure causing problems with hot water. Being 1,5km from the sea/lagoon, there is no seaview, but the upside is that the wind is not nearly as bothersome as at Morgan bay caravan park.The access road should be driven slowly, as it is uneven gravel. This paradise is safe and perfect for kids. Maybe not everybody's cup of tea, but we loved it!

Access poor, we took first road and would not have been able to go out this way very rough rock/gravel route. Take second route and road much better with good signage.

Was al voorheen hier en in Des. 2014 wat 'n plesier! Die staff is vriendelik en behulpsaam. As jy nie 'n natuurliefhebber is wat dit kan wardeer om die miljoene sterre in die hemelruim amper te kan aan raak nie (in genoeg lig) en nie die 5 ster luukshede een kant toe kan skuif nie, dan mis jy niks. Ons het die staanplek sonder krag met 'n rede gekies,(daar is wel kragpunt staanplekke) Familietyd rondom die vuur was wonderlik en ons het nie 'n tv of tab gemis nie. Ja die braai geriewe kan verbeter word, maar die hele atmosfeer van Yellowwood is net anders. Die speelplek en lekker kuier area is 'n plek waar ons kinder veilig kon speel. Die natuurskoon en staproete deur die woud kan ek aanbeveel. Die toeganspaaie is geskraap en aan gewerk in die tyd wat ons daar was en het defnitief verbeter. Ablusie het verbeter met'n gas geyser wat geinstalleer is. Die vreemde bou styl is tog interessant, jy verkyk jou aan al die herwinde stukke wat in die klipmure ingebou is. Hulle HERWIN en dit is ongelooflik dat hul moeiete doen en oral gemerkte dromme het - punte vir julle!! Die voel lewe, WOW, vat 'n boek en verkyker saam! Yellow wood is 'n plek waar daar nog rus en vrede is, ek beveel dit aan en sal defnitief weer daar 'n draai maak.
