Carochalet Campsites & Chalets

CAROCHALET is situated in Middelburg town in the Eastern Cape on the N9 between Colesberg and Graaff-Reinet, and if you travel via the picturesque garden route, Middelburg is approximately halfway between Johannesburg and Cape Town. During your stay you are our guest and the reason for our activities.

We love what we are doing and enjoy every bit. Therefore, make yourselves at home and enjoy your stay. We invite you to bring anything that is not to your taste to our attention. We learn by experience and if you can help us, please do so. We proudly offer camp sites and self-catering chalets for a peaceful, safe and enjoyable overnight stay.

Our shopping centre is within easy walking distance and your vehicle can be parked in safety and your walking shoes can do some walking. The chalets have been named after mountains in our vicinity.

The open space in between the chalets have been utilized as camp sites.
There are plenty of space for six unmarked camp sites on grass with power points in a well-kept garden for caravans (also motorized) and tents.

About 30% is in shade and the new trees are well on their way.
There are two neat and clean community ablutions.
The premises are closed with 1.8m high walling with sliding gates and parking is on site.

You will be supplied with keys for one of the sliding gates. For your safety always keep the gates locked. The lights at the entrance will stay on through the night.
