Natures Rest

This is a surprisingly lovely resort. Lots of amenities and reasonable camping sites. They also offer bungalow accommodation. Security is reasonable and the resort is well kept.

The resort is wonderful with lots of birds, is peaceful and is in a superb setting. The ablutions are clean with lots of hooks etc. I did not swim in the pool but it looks clean and well looked-after. It is fantastic that Natures Rest allows dogs and I really appreciate that! The road to the resort is not too good. I was disappointed at the mess which was allegedly left by the day visitors when I arrived late Sunday afternoon. The bins were overflowing, there was broken glass in one area, cigarette stompies were all over the place and I had to keep on taking bones from my dogs which had been thrown around the area. There were only two sets of people camping - myself and a family with children. I did not feel too safe during the night and wonder if the security was actually patrolling the area or just sitting at the office? I would loved to have gone swimming at the beach but was told by a resident who lives in East London that it is not safe to go there. Natures Rest should definitely take action in getting the beach back! I will not be returning as I like walking along the beach and swimming.

We had an wonderfull time. Personnel were always helpfull and friendly. This is an very nice resort for families. You also can be asure that the kids are safe. Entertainment in the evenings were also available. If you love the nature this one is for you.

This is a lovely resort. Friendly and helpful staff that go the extra mile. We would definitely be back. The only disadvantage is the safety of persons using the footpath to the beach. We were advised not to use it at this time.
