We have not had an outspan at Berg River Resort for many years but what a lovely camp! There are plenty of partly shaded sites and the grass is lush and green. Each site has it’s own braai. Electrical points, taps and bins are shared between sites, so you are not too far away. The ablutions are old but clean and functional. There are plenty of activities for children. There is a play park, super tube, farm animals, swimming pool, putt putt course and the river to catch tadpoles or swim in. They have good security and management is very visible in the camp.

Some of us took advantage of the Park allowing us to check in early on Friday for our combined weekend at De Hollandsche Molen. The Jurgens arrived even before the gates were open, by 10h00 when we arrived Ingrid had already taken her first swim and an early morning nap. Friday morning was spent lazily pitching, trying to avoid the heat. By early evening everyone had arrived, fires were lit and everyone started kuiering catching up on all the happenings

Worcester Yacht Club was a new venue to all of us and we were surely not disappointed at all. Being the first to arrive, we asked Reception where would be the best camp to set up our “cinema”. We were told to set up at camp 8 as it can get very windy there and that it was the most sheltered of all the camps there. So we drove to camp 8 and started setting up our camp and the “cinema” for our hosting weekend.
