Unusual caravan
An Eriba caravan found in the storage yard, imported from the Netherlands , so im told........
two roads diverged in a wood and i took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.
Hi George
Where in which yard did you find this?

Sonder Jesus is ek niks! ! ! !
Its at Yellow sands storage yard, they impounded it from a long termer some 3 years back, they guy never paid his dues and never came back for it.

Interesting shape. It would have been nice to see the inside but I don't suppose that would be possible. Do you know what type of suspension the van has and what type of construction? The models on Eriba's web page looks different from this one so it must be an older model.

The van has been pulled out of storage and they busy cleaning it up , to be put on a site to be leased out. Will get some more pics this later this week, i have been inside and it appears to be of very good build quality.

Pics of the outside.

Pics of the inside its a small van , no room to stand back for a full picture.

Judging by the stickers on the cupboard inside , the van has been around......

The axle appears to be rubex style with shocks........

Reg plate is Hymer - they build great motorhomes as well. Travelstar in Knysna imported a few of the Hymer motorhomes into SA round about the same time they imported the Fendt caravans as well.
Thanks George. The 4th photo of the insife shows something that looks like a heater or perhsos the infide unit of a split unit AC. Do you know what it is? And another question, can you see if the walls are similiar to ours with an outer and inner layer with polystyrene in the middle?

That unit is a heater only as far as i could make out......
The walls on the interior are of a padded type material, the outside is aluminium , not sure whats in the middle,

WAARSKUWING:
Kampeer is aansteeklik en verslawend ðŸ˜
Thanks George, that was interesting. I read some year ago our caravans' insulation is 25mm while the European ones is 38 mm due to their colder climate.
