My 2011 model Jurgens se Thetford Porta Potty se onderste groen "emmer", die een sonder wiele.

Daar is 'n geel knop wat jy draai om die porta oop en toe te maak.

Sodra ek myne optel om te gaan leegmaak, dan lek daar garras by die geel knoppie uit.

Ek glo daar moet 'n O-Ring wees of iets wat keer dat hy lek, maar ons gaan nou nog 'n maand kamp, ek wil nie die knop oop forseer om te kyk nie.

as iemand dalk weet of daai knop net uittrek? Is daar 'n O-Ring wat ek kan vervang? 

Ek hou die draad dop want dis verseker iets wat met enige iemand kan gebeur.  Ek stel voor dat jy met 'n klein spieeltjie binne in kyk hoe werk die meganisme as jy daai knop draai.

Daar moet 'n manier wees om daai knop los te maak om dit te verwyder.  My denke is ook dat daar 'n O-ring is wat die seel werk moet doen.

Petrus kontak die mense van Brits woonwaens. Ek het verlede jaar n probleem met n porta porti gehad en by hulle aangeklop. Hulle het my kon help met raad.  Dit was egter nie n Thetford nie

Just done mine a short while ago, you first need to remove the main seal cover and then remove the main seal ,[ on top of the cassette , the one the cover slides over ]

 Put your hand into the hole where the seal came out and at the bottom of that button thats leaking is 2 plastic lugs that you have to press together first then pull the  button with the shaft out from the top . shine a torch in there first to see what and where you have to press. You wont get you hand and a torch in there at the same time.

You will then have excess to the leaking seal.

Where did you get that replacement seal / O ring since we camp, that cassette is in daily use

 

Adendorffs verkoop n stel met n groot verskeidenheis O rings. Seker bietjie van n ' overkill' in die geval maar dis n goeie stel om byferhand te hê. Myne het al baie gebruike oor baie jare gevind.

I had the same issue as we live in our van full time moving around the country, and as I had it stripped that day [ was leaking bad ] I had to come up with a plan.
 we were and still are at yellow sands, they have a workshop here and they happened to have a box of assorted o rings in the workshop. I picked one out that I squeezed into the existing seal and its still sealing perfectly. I have enclosed an exploded view of the cassette  I got from Tuinroute caravans in mossel bay who said the could help me but would take a while as they have had to order the part then I would had to send a courier to bring to me here at east London,
I never went that route as I fixed it by adding a o ring.

Here is a pic of the turn-knob.

So you can clearly see what ends you must press together to remove it. I suspect if you replace that black rubber seal with a o-ring that it would work okay.

 

George, the white section as pictured by Leon, is that fixed or also came lose when you removed the yellow section? 

I never had a white loose piece, everything underneath was black and at all stayed together after pulling the button out.

Is there a link to a website where I can download that exploded view of the cassette ?

Het by die bearing plek 'n O ring gekry, maar was net te dik alhoewel ek die part weer moes in forseer. Die geel lever wou nie eintlik maklik draai nie, so op dag 2 terug vir nuwe O Rings.

Ek het 2 x diktes gevat. In kort sal ek aanbeveel dat die O Ring dalk 'n fraksie dunner moet wees as die "spesiale waster" wat in is, dan sal die hefbome gemaklik draai. 

Die Pakistani kon nie vir my 'n "size" gee nie - "Selling at R10 per O Ring from the Box using a Caliper to measure". Ek dink nie hy lees die Kapiler wel nie, maar tans is ek uitgesorteer.

Baie bly jy het reggekom.  Ek het al agter gekom dat as 'n O-ring te dik is jy, as dit moontlik is, 'n kleiner een moet gebruik. Sodra die kleiner O-ring rek word hy dunner en dan pas hy beter.

Laasgenoemde werk net as die O-ring oor iets gedruk of getrek moet word.

I am revisiting the servicing of my C200 cassette. This channel (that I follow) had a excellent 'practical demonstration'.

Thanks as this link is very insightful. 

However I also managed to fix mine, the issue however for me was to find the correct size O ring. I could not find the correct one, so, had 3 x different thickness and the LAST one was working the best.
