I popped in at SanParks Head Office to sort some reservations for June 2023.  Cancelled my Twee Rivieren for Feb and redirected it to Mapungubwe (Leokwe Camp);  then booked campsites at Punda Maria, Shingwedzi and Letaba.  Two separate reservations were issued as one cannot have two parks on the same number. 

My road van will be parked on a farm at Alldays thanks to the kindness of the owners whilst we also use their B&B.  I do not want to tackle the 40km from reception to Mazhou camp with my road van.   I was offered a free undercover parking at reception but without a power point. 

Arrive home and my better half points out that I will have to travel very fast on 18 June as we will be moving from Shingwedzi to Twee Rivieren.    NOTE : separate reservation was not required.   This morning I phone (x2) but the calls are ended after two seconds.  I then phone the Faerie Glen number but they cannot help me as their facility to update reservations NOT made by them has been withdrawn.   They also have a problem with the phone at SanParks and advise me to phone Trudie in Cape Town and provide the number.  Within minutes I receive the corrected reservation.   Trudie tells me that SanParks has amended some contracts of booking agents and that they are restricted in what they can do.

Ja  ek het ook so 2 maande terug n bespreking wou doen met n satteliet kantoor. Hulle kon ook nie direk vir my n bespreking op Sanparks se stelsel meer doen nie. Dit het na een of ander langdraderige proses met pro-forma fakture ensovoorts geklink. Toe ook maar direk Saparks in Pretoria gekontak

I use Ezi Bookings in Stellenbosch. Fantastic service for many years already. I phoned them on Wednesday to postphone my Mokala (Lilydale) reservation from coming Sunday and Monday nights to a week later. It was done in less than 2 minutes.

Ezi Bookings = 100%

From Singwedzi to (OMW) Twee Rivieren? In one day?  1367 km!  Is that correct?

That would normally take me three full days.
