Sani pass
Anyone driven Sani pass recently, looking for a road condition report.
anyone driven Sani pass in the past, what was the experience like.
two roads diverged in a wood and i took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.

Was a synch in my Frontier 4X2 about 12 years ago,3 up with a whole lot of camping stuff on the roof & tents, chow etc. in the back. I don't know what the road is like nowadays, but not too different I imagine.
Your strongest weapon is your mind!
And then there's, Power Tools!

We were there 2019 and was met with a MINUS 12 at the pub that morning. I certainly had my beer!!! but resorted to something more apt for the cold afterwards.
Road was very manageable so we proceeded slowly and soaked up the beautiful scenery. We experienced a very relaxing way up and down.
We stayed over in Himeville and again experienced extreme cold weather.
Certainly not recommend during the mid winter months though....my two cents....
none

Going up this coming sat 14/12 , not coming down though, going to travel from the top of Sani pass through Lesotho and exit at Fouriesburg/ caldenspoort border.

Don‘t forget to stop at the highest pup in Africa (not at Sani Pass) but at Afriski, it‘s 3050m above sea level.
Enjoy your trip up Sani Pass it‘s still on my bucket list.
