Dagse forumiete, will graag weet watter voorstelle het julle vir 'n oornag staanplek in Bloem. Sien daar's heelwat op die internet, maar die van julle wat al persoonlik daar was se insette is vir my meer waardevol. Soek verkieslik iets nie te ver van die N1 af nie, maar wil ook nie heelnag na verkeer le en luister nie. Baie dankie by voorbaat! Ons sal einde Oktober daar verby gaan op pad KZN toe van die Weskaap af.

Ons staan ook gereeld by Reynecke Park oor.  Alles is baie netjies, die personeel is vriendelik en jy kry 'n privaat ablusie.  Ongelukkis is dit op die Kimberley pad en vragmotors ry die hele nag daarlangs. 

Ons het ook al by een (kan nie die naam onthou nie) sowat 10 km noord van Bloem reg langs die N1 oorgestaan.  Dis ook netjies maar ons verkies Reynecke. 

Ek het vinnig gaan loer en ek sien die NG Kerk Mooiogenoem effens noord van die stad het ook 'n kampterrein wat ons  nie ken nie.  Ons ry nader aan die einde van die jaar daarlangs en ek dink ons moet hom gaan besigtig.  Ons sal nie met die karavaan ry nie maar dis goed om altyd 'n alternatief te hê.  Die resensies daaroor isbaie goed.

Vir baie jare maak ons gebruik van Reyneke Park. Nooit robleme gehad nie.Sal hom in die toekomsweer gebruik.

Danie Fred, ek dink al die oorde naby die N1 is maar blootgestel aan padgeraas agv die enorme hoeveelhede swaar voertuie wat deesdae op die pad is. Dis iets waarmee mens nou maar moet saam leef. Ek het ook die NG Kerk Mooigenoeg opgekyk, lyk na 'n ordentlike plek.

Dit blyk dat Reynecke park die meer gewilde een is vir oornag, en dus sal dit dan ook my keuse wees. Baie dankie vir almal se insette.

Sekerlik n baie lekker plek. Net een kilometer van die N1. Lekker geriewe.

I like TOMS PLACE a couple km's before BLOEM when coming from cape.Very cheap and iv never had any issues

River of Joy, just off the N1, overnighted there two weeks ago and will always stop there.

This sounds good.  We will be passing Bloem late in November and I think we should sleep over at River of Joy instead of our normal Reynecke Park.  Nothing against this park.  It is neat, safe, easy reachable and friendly but it is good to explore different options.  And if River of Joy is away from a noisy main road, that will be most welcome.

Hi there caravaners and long distance traveller's.

I have a question as to the road conditions, as I had a bad experience in 2021 at Maselspoort from the N1 to the caravan park via the grawel road which was bad at the time. I was towing a Sprite Sprint and we had to drive at plus minus 5 km/h as the road was so bad due to the rain. 

Has anyone traveled on that road round about this year as we may be traveling there as a stand over or a stop over on the way to the Cape Province. I am towing a road caravan and would like a head up for that road. I am looking at turning left on the next time we travel that way to the mentioned caravan park River of joy or the other one.

Not sure about the gravel road condition, the other alternative is to approach Maselspoort from the other side but that means going through Bloemfontein on the N8 to Maselspoort off ramp. Quite a long way around but no gravel road. Hence I prefer stopping over at River of Joy and if they cannot accommodate me me then go on to Reynecke Park. I would depending on my travel time even consider Gariep Dam / Waschbank River Lodge for a stop over. 

Reynecke park is good, But the owner has a major ATTITUDE. 

We stayed there for a week while I was in hospital on route early this year. Anyone that wanted to come and great the wife, had to pay R50. 

Stayed there again 2 weeks ago on route to Jhb. Someone gad to come and drop domething off at us, again they indist on the R50

I regard it as unreasonable
