Okto Caravan owners. Feedback on your 12 volt fridges please
The 3 way fridge on my Classique is on its last legs.
I have enjoyed having a 3 way as it has allowed me to camp at places that do not have electricity eg Balule and Tsendze in the Kruger.
I am considering replacing my fridge with the 12 volt DC fridge that is being fitted to Okto caravans.
I have a 102 Ah deep cycle battery, so hoping I can at least still spend a few days at off grid camp sites.
I am keen to hear from Okto owners as to how long they find they can run their fridges off battery only.
Much appreciated
Martin

If you have a solar charging system you can run almost continuously,I have a 120w panel with good voltage controller with 120ah battery keeping my fridge battery full and the added benefit of charging the vans battery when needed.my fridge is also 220v/12v.
Who dares wins
Thanks Survivalist
My off grid camping is the exception. So at this stage not planning to go the solar route.
But if the pattern changes, then obviously solar is the way to go
