How to change a light bulb in a Jurgens Classique?
Hi,
I'm sure this isn't difficult but I'm being cautious to prevent me damaging a fitting ... but how do you change these light bulbs? I cannot see any other discussions on it.
The gold-coloured rim rotates perhaps half a turn but at no point does it suddenly seem to come loose.
Help appreciated!
Thanks.

This light fitting is 'spring loaded' to fit inside the hole in the body of the caravan. I works on similar principle of downlight fittings in your home.
To remove, insert (careful to not damage the light or the base it is fitted into) two flat items (screwdriver or pocket knife or putty knife) between the light (gold colour) and the grey surface opposite each other. Wedge the two apart by exerting similar force on both sides - the light fitting will come away from the grey base. When you can get your fingers in, pull further apart until you can see some kind of retaining spring, that keeps the light in position. You will then be able to access the bulb for replacement. Perhaps consider going the LED way - much nicer and brighter light, and not as heat generating?? just check the voltages to be the same either 12volt (most likely) or maybe 220Volt?
Go to Google and search for "removing downlights from ceiling" - that will give you an idea of the setup.
Hope you get it sorted.
Very interesting, thank you!! Will give it a go. So, if I understand what you’re saying, the gold section comes out of the panel?
