DIY tent rope tensioner
Hi guys,try again...
I'm sure everyone has at some time needed an extra tent rope tensioner, here's one made from a 16mm NB plastic pipe with holes drilled through each end,50-60 mm long is fine.Thread it through two holes opposite sides, see pic ,hope it went through.
Let us know if you have any other ideas
Who dares wins
I do the same with my ropes, but place the piping vertical with cable ties, pull it douwnwards until the ropes are tight enoungh, then lock the cable ties and cut the excess off with a sidecutter.
Never let the cutt-off of cable ties facing the caravan or tent, this may turn damage to your Van & Tent.
Boer maak 'n Plan.
I usually have some of the dog bone sliders as spares. But through the years I never a
had to replace a slider. Used the spares for new ropes and so on.

I have a pack of them as spares. Never needed to use a spare. I only use them for new ropes. I use the small aluminium dogs with washing line rope. I fold the rope over the knot to prevent it from sliding (working lose) in gusty conditions.
Groete,
Paul
