Country park
Has anyone spent time at Country park Mulders drift,
Your views ................
two roads diverged in a wood and i took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.
Hi George, I have stayed there a number of times when passing Joburg. End of Jan last time.
Access road down from Beyers Naude is very rough 20km/h stuff for the first bit.
Stands, not demarcated, are grassed and quite sloped. Fairly sheltered perimeter.
Security, electric fenced (works, I stood too close) and cameras.
Ablutions clean a little small, but they have overflow available.
Some nearby weekend noise, did not bother me.
They have a little game park below the complex.
On the other side of the 'park' they have smart long term / full time facilities.
I got to know 2 different guys there, very pleasant and helpful, you can drop my name.
Beyers Naude drive is a 3rd world experience. No lights few working robots etc.
I recommend you give it a chance.
Living the dream
Stayed there often. its a great place, but its not a resort, so apart from a pool, the kids may not like it. very peaceful. nice people.
the road from Beyers Naude to the campsite is sometimes VERY bad- but take it very slowly and its only a km or so long.
