Looking for advice please,

Just finishing off the last touches to my overlanding rig. Setup for off grid camping. we hoping to do the Namaqua tour in sept/oct. Does anyone know of campsite or area where we can test it out? Cant seem to find many sites which cater for this. im in the north west area so close by would be great.

If you just want to test and see if everything is working, cant it be done anywhere? You just dont connect your equipment to the resorts facilities. Can even do it at home? Or do I understand the question wrong?

I would also have thought that doing testing like this close-by home would be the better option .... that way you can always improve on a design/idea where it proves to be inadequate?

Yea obviously I’ve tried everything, it’s just to b somewhere remote and quiet. Away from the big fridges and 220v people. 
Sorry I should have been more descriptive in question. 
Some where deep in the mountains for example

Soutman. Al raad wat ek nou kan gee is die TV remote. Dan scroll jy na channel 144/147. Daar is lekker kamp programme oor kamp plekke wat jy remotely in jou sitkamer kan geniet.

Hi Chris,   If memory serves me correctly there is just what you are looking for around   Fouriesberg that gives you the option of parking on a sight in the caravan park OR drive into the hills and valeys and camp where you like.

There are also a couple of parks in the Drakensberg which are pretty rustic, One of these is a fovourite of one of our forum members...... Cobham.

Have a look at the topic started a couple of days ago ,  Photos of your favorite  camping site.

You can actually camp in any resort, just leave your power extension at home.
