It is not clear what you need Angela. If you can indicate this, probably a member on this Forum will be able to assist. If you are looking for a list of new caravans available in South Africa, you will find this in all of the caravanning magazines.
And also very welcome on this Forum. We are a friendly helpful group and you are sure to gain a lot and in time also contribute.
Hi. Sorry, I am looking for what to pack in the caravan please? I have a new caravan. Thank you.
Hi, Angela. Go to the top of this page and open "news". You will see practical advise under news. Somewhere in practical advise you will find a checklist.
welcome Angela
You will work out over time what you need and what not.
when we started with the caravan we packed a lot of items with time we realized that this is need and this not and what to add.
Your need at a camp will differ from the next
because you have limited weight for a caravan around (SPLASH = 236kg "The Tare weight quoted in the product brochure excludes the weight of the standard tent or awning (and poles).")
if you do a weekend it will differ from a long stay

Duck tape, side cutter, cable ties (various sizes) and scissors. You will figure out the rest as you go.
Do not buy everything all at once. Only what you need to at least enjoy the first camping trip.
Then during your camping trips walk through the caravan park and steal (with your eyes) ideas from fellow campers that could work for you.
This way you will save a lot of money preventing you from buying gadgets and things that is not that practical at all.
I still have camp gadgets that we bought and maybe used it once.
Welkom hier.
When we got our first caravan, we camped in our own garden for a couple of week-ends.
That way you learn how to set-up everything at home. If you have problems, it is easy to resolve.
If you wait till you at a remote camping spot, it could ruin the week-end.
Most difficult thing is always to sort out the poles for the tent and the best way to pitch the tent. For me I struggle to get the tent into that groove and pull it in. It is a 2 man job! Now I put a little bit of baby powder in the groove and the tent pulls in much easier.
As mentioned, rather pack less than too much.
It the van we just keep everything that stays in the van permanently and our clothes. Everything else goes in the car.
Have fun!
Angela sien Relaxed Camper se link asook wat Leon se sterkte vat dit rustig Rome issie in een dag gebou nie welkom op forum
