Can anyone tell me what exactly "woodrot" is in terms of caravans and how it can be prevented. Is it true that it can "spread like a cancer" so to speak?
I would further like to know what the best way is to do a DIY-job on a small patch of suspected woodrot inside the caravan on a side panel above a window. Rain had previously penetrated into the van from the outside on the roof between the panels during a storm.
I did seal the roof afterwards with outdoor marine silicon, but I am concerned about a small area near the top of the panel above the window where it appears damp and cold to the touch.
