Ok so we needed a place to put our feet up along the way towards Dongola Ranch. Which is now closed for the rest of the year, so we will re-think that option. Possibly down to the lowveld.

Yesterday evening we slept over at Eden Park and it really is a super resort - 5 star, all sites with private ablutions and where we stayed in the Bushveld Camp there was a large paved are on each site with the bushveld all around you, quite awesome. The main camp also has grass around the paved areas. Just the cost per night was a bit too much for a long stay over for us.

A problem at Eden Park is that one battles to get a large van in there as the raodways are rather narrow with trees close to the roadway, I had some minor scratches along the one side of the van which fortuantely polished out.

So we popped in at a few parks around the area, Constansia, Die Oog, Tempel and then at Weesgerus.

Weesgerus offered us the beast price for the month , actually 32 days for R2816.00 so we have moved in until 5 May 2013 Tongue out We are in block E.

We also had lots of rain here today and drove from Eden Park all the way here in the rain, which then let up just long enough for us to set up camp then the heavans opened up again.

Will post some photos l8r

Brian all the best. Weesgerus is a nice resort I just don't like the rule that quiet time is only from 23H45. Had a quest there in Oct 2011, scratched it from my camping list since.

Hi Brian,

When we go to Kammaland later this month, we will let you know. We are not that far from Weesgerus, maybe you and Carol can come and have a look at what our "base" looks like.

I hit a pot-hole and it's bent the shock housing. The "experts" say it's not a problem and I can continue to drive.

However we are awaiting a quote for a replacelemt and availability to replace the mounting and shock.
