Tell them to go to Mountain Splendour next time - just down the road from Dragon Peaks you won't have any of those problems there
Get them to rate the park
We were at Happies this long weekend and some peoplel just let their dogs run around without any worries. They wait for the managment to come to them and put a stop it. There was a case were someone had their pitbull at the park, which paralised one of the park cats. Now tell me, a pit bull?
Happies! where is that ?
Brian, I was also wondering?? perhaps Happy Wanderers??
With dogs you will always find these problems, some people just don't care anything about any one else, although you do get the responsible people that won't let anything like that happen, it was discussed on this forum.
I will advise to "first" find out about the general "rules" of the park with respect to dogs and other pets, and then decide if you "want" to go and try the resort.
You also get, at some parks, that the park owner's dogs are a nuisance, and I feel that should not happen, unless you are warned beforehand that there are dogs in the park, that may be wandering around. Why should your holiday/stand/tent etc., be spoiled?
Not to be funny Louis, but are they sure they were at Dragon Peaks??
I was there on Sunday, left 6am Tuesday. We were in a cabin, but my folks were in their motorhome and we did'nt hear anything, other than a slight noise for maybe an hour , and one campsite playing 30 Seconds on Sunday night, but again, that was maybe an hour. My infant daughter is a terrible sleeper so I am hyper sensitive about noise, and we had windows open no issue.
I made a point of checking the state of the ablutions and they were all fine. Old, but pretty clean. The one had a note up saying there was a problem with hot water but that it was being dealt with. I walked all over the place a few times each day and I don't recall seeing dog mess all over the place. Horse droppings around the dam, yes! And I am actually anti-dogs in campsites, but I still did'nt pick up an issue.
We loved it there, and like many campgrounds, some sites are small, others not so. None were unreasonable and I saw a number of Exclusives with full tents. There was even a mint condition Gazelle. Maybe the issue was on the Saturday and I did'nt see it, but to say that all the sites are small is flat out inaccurate.
I would go back in a heartbeat....if it was'nt so far from Cape Town!
One gay likes the other dislike thats how it go's
Are you coming out of the closet Willem ?
@ Frans "....You also get, at some parks, that the park owner's dogs are a nuisance, and I feel that should not happen, unless you are warned beforehand that there are dogs in the park, that may be wandering around. Why should your holiday/stand/tent etc., be spoiled?"
Yeah Frans we have had that as well, having to stop the owners dogs from peeing on my tent etc. Just let the owner know, I love animals however if he pees on my tent I'll be cutting his balls out
As long as everyone rates these resorts with customer feedback, i will be happies!
