To all prospective Tuff Cats customers.

Please be aware of the quality issues the Tuff Cats manufacturer has on Tuff Cats caravans. I don't want you to go through the same hell as me. I bought my Tuff Cats caravan brand new mid December 2021 and soon thereafter parts of the outside of the caravan started to rust (see photos). After it rained we discovered the caravan leak at the front bed lid into the inside of the caravan. The inside basin drainage pipe also leakes and we had to put a container under it to catch the water whilst we were touring the Cape for 2 months. All the stickers on the caravan also fell off. The bed sometimes gets stuck and you cannot pull it out, which is a major problem when you arrive at a camping site and cannot pitch your caravan. I note some of the screws of the sliding mechanism of the bed fell out. I saw them by chance lying on the ground next to the caravan.

Think twice before buying Tuff Cats Products.

Have you taken this up with the manufacturer? If yes what did they say?

Your van is less than 6 months old and should still be under guarantee.

Sherbert, that is bad.

Trust that the manufacturer will read this and accommodate you.

Keep us informed for future buying.

I took it up with Tuff Cats. They blame external suppliers for poor quality

As long as they would be prepared to repair/ replace defects at their cost, it shouldn't be a problem?

Speak to your lawyer. It may cost you the fees for a letter to them, but in the end it may prove to be the best move in terms of consumer legislation.

Incidentally, I have learnt my lesson with modern day construction material. Any metal stuff from China is absolute rubbish for outside use. Gone are the days of properly galvanized material.

It is not how old one is that matters, it is how one is old that matters. One do not stop playing because one is old – one is old because one stopped playing.

The best route to go at least expenses.

Never talk telephonically, make sure al communications are in writing/email.

You first have to report your concerns to the supplier ans ask for a written reply within 14 days.

Once you get a responce and you are nit satisfied, write them a letter demanding that they repair your complaints.

Give them another 14 days.

If they then dont comply, get application forms from the cunsumer council.

Always start your letter... writen without predudice

Lay a charge and give them copies of all correspondence, including proof af purchase.

For a change they do actualy protect the consumer. You will be surprised

WAARSKUWING:

Kampeer is aansteeklik en verslawend 😁

Interesant, my TuffCat Shumba is in Augustus 2021 afgelewer.

Lyk my hulle begin nou kortpad vat.

Dit gaan waarskynlik, soos jy tereg sê, oor geld.
