Klink of die Sardientjies mooi geloop het hierdie jaar?
Gister hier by ons groot skole by Ramsgate en Margate uitgekom. Wat n pragtige gesig. Ek hoop net die winter vakansiegangers sal dit ook kan belewe.
These are not videos but only photos... they are from my friends FB live page.
My home beach.... I am on my way now... let's go family let's go go go
Wow....looks like nice weather as well
This was in front of Warnerdoone lifesaving club today... you see those buildings in the background...
One of those buildings are now built on the old Pot Luck Caravan Park site, we as a family lived in this park for a few years until about 1992. It was a run down park.
It was in Pot Luck Caravan Park were my love for caravans begun.... I lived in a blue / white Sprite caravan that had a stable door... it was completely gutted, had no wheels and the whole kitchen was pulled out of it.. it stood on bricks, but that did not matter to me, because it also had my Technics Hi-fi inside of it...
I had cut / trim my double bed with a jig saw to make it fit inside my caravan, providing me a massive one bedroom inside. It was awesome...
I now run CaravanParks.com... surely I must of got all the Luck from that good old "Pot Luck" after it closed down in 1992. That park will always be in my heart, best location ever, on the beach, near shops, bus stop and station.
Then exactly where these sardines came out today... This where my dad and I fished most of our lives, catching dinner way back when we were "previously disadvantaged " hahaha... best time of my life...
Only 47 foot steps from my bed onto the beach ...
Yes it was great winter beach weather today... not this blistering hot summer sun and well Durban does not actually have a winter.
I added a few extra photos to the gallery.
I will gladly trade a few export avo's for a few fresh sardines to grill.
Just a question which I have been wondering about: What happens to the many buckets full of sardines harvested on the beaches?
My kleinkinders van Pretoria kuier tans hier by ons in Uvongo.
2018 has been a very good sardine run and it does not seem to be over yet. I make a point each year to try and go searching for them. Normally it is all driving and no success and I guess it was about 6 years ago when we last had any success.
Lyk of vanjaar se sardientjie run goeie oes lewer. Afgesien van versoek om weg te bly van strande drom derduisende saam om dit te ervaar
