There was a spot there about 12 years ago. Well hedged in but amongst houses in a residential setting. Don't know if it's still going. Wasn't on the water though....
How about Willow Park in Port Alfred? Right on the Kowie. Marina opposite....
Pine Lake in Sedgefield is a resort designed for watersports. On the Swartvlei. Check it out....
Try Gamtoos Ferry Hotel - west of PE, before St Francis, on the Gamtoos River. They have an excellent caravan park with slipway for launching boats. Also a demarcated area for parking boat trailers. Restaurant , pub and shop on site, although may be closed due Corona-19. We stayed there overnight in Jan this year and would like to visit there again.
Here are some pics of Gamtoos Ferry Hotel caravan park.

George the following caravan parks are in or near Jeffreys Bay:
Big Fish Caravan Park
Gamtoos Ferry Hotel
Gamtoosriviermond Coastal Nature Reserve
Jeffreys Bay Caravan Park
Wacky Woods Caravan Park
Kabeljous Caravan Park closed in 2012 and St Francis Bay Caravan Park closed in 2017. We have heard that it may re-open, but cannot confirm this.
I have just loaded photos of the first 5 to our Website. Click on the link to the photos at the end of the notes of the individual parks.
Jip, we have camped at Willows many a time and always made use of their monthly rate, even over December. They even have a monthly rate on their private sites.
Will post some photos on our webpage for you. Will only bè available in about an hour.
Try Water Berry Park, St Francis Bay. Have never stayed there but saw it advertised a few months ago. Looking at their website it looks ok!
thanks, have sent them an enquiry, however im not so sure about there location, the appear to be in between two major roads,
Well played George. Any friend of Robert Frost is a friend of mine. Good luck with Green Fountain.....
The St Francis bay caravan park re-opened 2019 same spot as the old park
thanks neels, would you have any contact details for the park, im not having much luck on line.
Neels is correct, George. Looks like they redesigned the campsite I was thing of. Seems a few hundred metres from the beach. Oyster Bay is the name....
ok, so its had a name change, that why i cant find it.
checked oyster bay out, its not at st francis bay, its about 22 kms or so away, still cannot find anything on the reopening of st francis park.
Oyster Bay caravan Park is rated as a 5 star resort, but the road is normally very bad. Potholes and corregation all the way.
Stay away if you regularly want to go to St Francis.
This was never called St Francis C/P. The St Francic Hotel is built on a section of the old caravan park.
Jeffreys Bay is indeed a municipal park, but we have stayed there quite often, from the 1970's till 2018. We never had any problems and in fact often just locked up the van to visit Baviaans for a couple of days.
The ablutions are old and need a revamp, but have always been clean.
I will post some pictures to our website during the week.
