Hello every body. I am so sick of this lockdown. At least we can now camp in our own Province.
While in Lockdown I decided to redo my shower I built into my Sunway.
I am looking at the Speadheat instantaneous water heater head as my hot water outlet(it's a shower head with a heater in it) however the smallest I can buy is a 3.5kw or 15amp
Has anyone installed this and would it work in a caravan park?
Thanks and greetings to all
Hi Colin. You will have to do some serious load management while showering, as very few parks supply more than 15 amps and some only 10 amps. Instantaneous cold water when the power trips.
Oh shucks you right didn't think of that. Yikes can you imagine the klap I will get from the Mrs.
Thanks for the reply
There are two types of this unit available on the market. I used to have one of the higher amps in my outer buildings shower a few years ago.
It heats the water sufficiently during summer but it is just that little bit to cold during winter time. The flow of the water regulates the temperature. The smaller the tap is opened the hotter the water but there is a trade off................... the water needs to be of a certain pressure to activate the heat mechanism (protection inside the unit). So if the water flow is to slow the unit switches off automatically.
This is apart from the Amp capability of the supply point.
Werk die geysers daar in Clarens, kry hulle nie te koud nie......lol
