Can anyone recommend a route from Badplaas to Richards Bay, I had thought of going via Swaziland but am led to believe it's not to good. I am a bit weary as I have just come here from Modemole and have to have shocks replaced thanks to potholes and 'ridges'' across the road between Groblersdal and Belfast, travelling via Stoffberg.
Also any recommended stop overs en route
Thanks

If you don't want to go through Swaziland then I would go via, Carolina, Ermelo, Piet Retief to Richards Bay. Total distance on this route is 527Km to the Richards Bay Caravan Park.

You could stay over at Sundowner Lodge outside Piet Retief GPS S26° 59.384' E30° 47.784'

In Piet Retief itself the road was not too great but other than that it should be fine, or it was when we travelled it last.

Brian se roete is 'n goeie voorstel, het dit verlede maand met die karavaan gery sonder enige probleme.

I donít what to throw a spanner in the works here but we went to Swaziland 2 years ago and found the roads to be better than in the RSA. The people are friendly and speak English well, The cheapest meat fillet steak was cheaper than bone meat we made Pokie kos with Fillet steak. In at Oshoek and out at Golela on our way to R/Bay .We stayed at Mlilwane, Siteki and Hlane all very scenic spots. The mixture of Bush to soaring mountains are second to none and should not be missed .BUT YES !!!!!! Find out about the road conditions first they may have deteriorated.
