Lionel

Is this the one?

Rocky Jockey

What does it cost? I see the secondhand ones going for about  R10 000 - have you considered getting something like the Alko Mammut or the Power Touch? which is attached to the van.

Just check how many there are available on the net as secondhand. Then that should tel you to go there or not.

If you plan to use it ONLY on a level surface that will never be wet! Go for it, other wise I will advise look at a mover that works on the large wheels of your caravan.

Why? The weight of the caravan lies 98% on the main wheels. So if that mover has to pul the van on an incline it will only spin. If that mover has to pull the van over a wet surface it will only spin. All due to the fact that the resistance to get the caravan wheels moving(Wheight lies here) is greater than the resistance at the jockey wheel.

It is the same principal with the Maco Mule(Spelling) they spin the moment you have a wet surface or have to push the caravan just over the small rail of you electric gate.

Best mover if you don't want to waste money is one that connects to the main wheel of your caravan.

All the best with your decision
