Andre', thanks for the feedback always good to have up to date information.
The last time I travelled to and from Centurion towards Brits I went north on N1 until north of Pretoria (Doornpoort) then west on the N4. Although much farther, much safer, stress free, no potholes and limited chance of punctures - the tolls are well worth the smooth highway. Lanseria road is bad in winter and would not like to try it in a rainy summer.
From Krugersdorp take the PTA krugersdorp road, turn off at swartkopies turn R into Beyers naude go to the end, 3/4 way rond the circle down to the Lancera road & Left.
Go over the bridge at the back of Harties and over the Hill to Chameloin Village.
(Stop there and have a look at trailer mecca... Got some really good stuff there)
Then take the old rustenburg road, towards Mooi-nooi over the bridge at Brits Pale to the new stop street turn Right, go straight into Brits.
Just watch the road as you get close to Brits, the road is narrow with edge breakouts, and the 2 speed humps over the railway line are angled and big.
The railway line itself is also lousy
Go straight down that road, and stop off at Model Melkery, they sell fresh milk and it's very yummy (you don't need a container)
The P&P in Van Velden street (in town) is expensive.
Rather go to fruit & veg n Vervoed street (the main street to elendaba), and in the back right corner of that whole complex is a Choppies (not a Checkers, a Choppies) very cheap.
If its a take out you want, then At the corner of Van Velden and Vervoed, there is a Gararge on the corner, Just behind the gararge is a resturaunt / takeaway called Homestead... They do some mean meals, and a really great dagwood.
Steer clear of the malls...
If you want to know where to buy meat.....
