end of month two now and reality is now becoming the norm, we are getting to know a lot more people in the park , and how the park is really run.the permanent campers are mostly pensioners and are a very pleasant group of people, however a small number of a younger generation has slipped through the net and one can only refer to them as trailer trash. they have scant regard for the park rules [ which we all read and sign for ] and for people around them, and the park equaly makes no attempt to enforce these rules as nothing was done to sort an issue , on the contary we were told nicely that we could be evicted for complaining. im not kidding you, so we left it at that
on a lighter note, wilst we didnot have many good fishing days weather wise, the few we had were productive , i guess the more i practise the more lucky i get. with the weather showing no signs of improving in the near future, it is said that there are old skippers and that there are bold skippers, but there are no old bold skippers. no prizes for guessing which catergory i fall into .
we went exploring around the cape st lucia lighthouse area, which we could not get right up to due to it being fenced of and locked, we also expored the coast line below the lighthouse , the is a shipwreck there and it looks like its been there for a hundred years. the road down to the beach was challenging as were most roads in and around that area. there is a massive swamp that you drive along side on the way there and it stretches for kilometers, we made the mistake of stopping thereon the way back to take pictures, and as we opened the doors and got out a hundred million Miskitos [ i kid you not ] appeared out of nowhere and attacked us, as we were swatting them of we were turning red , blood red every where you swatted them on your body, quickly got back in the bakkie closed all the doors but to late, we now had a hundred million of these things in the bakkie.as we picked up speed with the windows down most got sucked out as the van turned blood red inside as we swatted them we ever we could , on the dash, door panels, roof inside, seats , as we headed out the area and home, it took a car valet place the best part of 4 hours to clean the inside the following day, they were not the normal mozzie as we know them , same size but slightly different shape, and we had no side or after effects after so many bites so all ended well.
we are of to margate on Thursday this week have a friend who is a permanent resident at Marlon caravan park, and will be staying there for a few days, soul purpose of this trip is to check out margate caravan park and if its suitable we will book our next leg of the journey . planning on being there [ or in the area ] from august to end Jan next year. we really hope the park is as good as it sounds as they have really good rates that remain the same through Xmas for pensioners. we will go and check it out.
well, its raining today as it was yesterday , did the washing this morning , done the house keeping and done typing , till a months time
no worries mate
two roads diverged in a wood and i took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.
