Good day to all!
Please help me out here - we need to insure our (new to us) 1983 VW Autovilla. The insurance company is asking for an evaluation which somebody from a dealership on the West Rand says he can do at a cost of R880.
I feel that this is a bit hectic for writing a piece of paper - does anybody know where else we could try please?
Thanks in advance
i have a 1982 vw autovilla and insured through Carasure R164 per month No valuation was nessesary
We are with Miway so they are the first port of call for us. Do you think that Outsurance would be better and that we wouldn't have to get an overpriced evaluation?
Sounds more like TheirWay. I was at Outsurance and now at Discovery...never paid a cent for such things
Hi, I think the problem might be it`s an older vehicle and there is no book value . I have an `87 Mercedes and they will only insure it for R20000 but in it`s condition it is worth about R45000. I also had to take it to be valued to increase the pay out value but it was at no charge. I would take it somewhere else to have it valued maybe even a caravan shop who should know it`s correct value.
Try Tuff Stuff 4X4 insurance, underwritten by Ream.
They didn't want to see my 1994 Land cruiser and happily included all the extra fitments.
Very reasonable rates and breakdown / accident recovery plans, even from the surrounding countries.
