Admin, if you feel this is inappropriate, please block.
1. Buffelspoort,
2. Loversrock,
3. Henopspride, en nou,
4. Fairhills caravanpark.
Dade spreek harder as woorde, talk is cheap, money buys the whisky.
Die oorde moet darem minstens deel van die forum bly op GEREELDE grondslag - I would reckon the resorts should participate on REGULAR basis. We have often see that, the same as with some "forum members" who only join forum to complain about some or other resort, and then you NEVER see any posts again. Resorts should not only react on "complaints" to tell their side of the story and then disappear, but must keep the forum members informed about "new developments, special weekends , etc" and be really "part" of the forum.
\Many moons ago, when we were still very active campers, we had to write letters - ja, met die hand briewe geskryf!!!! to give input in developments (WARMBATHS was one of them, and KROONPARK!!) ja, Blommie, dit was donners lank gelede!!!!, but then we still had Piost Office that DID actually DELIVER letters!!!!, and I can assure you, we experienced the input that we made to the specific resorts.
Now, it is so EASY with e-mail and all the other stuff!!!
Johann, great idea, but it should come from BOTH sides!!!!
I've seen that caravanparks.com are administrators of many resort websites and I'm sure that the owners have all been informed of the forum. So it's suprising that only a few partake in the forum.
Johann, Yellowwood Forest Campsite have also recently posted on the forum as well.
Brian, you right, I remember it.
I think the resorts that are listed on the forum, are paying ad fees, it would be to their own advance to comment on our remarks, good or not, that way, they can state their views on such remarks.
I don't think the resorts have to pay fees to become forum members.
Johann this is a good idea, this is a good platform for parks to see how we as campers feel, and for them to keep us informed as to what is going on on there premises or in there area that may or even may not be of interest to us.
I agree resorts should be represented on the forum and at the very least should be reading negative comments and in need taking up off line - in my case, even an off line appology would have been acceptable - we are all human and all make mistakes.
I don not beleive resorts are paying for becoming forum members, but, think that they pay for their web sites to be developed by Admin, but that is not my concern.
They ought to join in the forum postings to state their side of issues, eg. Buffelspoort have changed their "leave camp time" on Sundays from 10:00 am to 12:00, and if your stand is not booked, I saw some campers leave after 15:00 when we camped their, so Tommie listened to our requests.
Pieter, ek dink dis 'n baie goeie idee, maar ek dink mens moet (ek sal) Admin se opinie eers moet kry.
