In addition to my earlier "stupid" questions/answers so far, I now have a very serious question and maybe someone can enlighten me:
Has anyone any experience with the OZtrail Fast Frame Cruiser 240 or 300 with regard to ease of setting up, quality, sturdiness, etc ????(the 240 costs +/- R 3,000,- at TAKEALOT)
I am lusting after one but would like some real life opinion first if possible.
A similar alternative - OZ TENT (also out of Aussieland) is far too expensive = over R 10.000,- !!!!
Am looking forward to hearing from some wise men....
Nog nie probeer nie.
Iemand sal jou kan help.
SORRY, SORRY My above question refers to a TENT.....just in case someone thinks it is about an Australian Motor Boat Cruiser !!!???
Certainly looks pretty simple to setup hopefully someone here already has one, but I don't think it looks as sturdy as the OZ tent. The price difference to me gives you a hint as to which one is better but R7000 odd more? I would try find them at dealer who can show you both and then make an informed decision.
I have something similar from Campmaster. Works fine. If possible go for one of which the floor is 3mx3m.
I use the Campmaster Boland Dome tent made of a light rip-stop material.
Thanks for all your input.
The problem in South Africa is that everybody is very eager to sell but nobody puts up a variety of tents to let you choose practically and visually.....TAKEALOT expects from its customers to spend R 2.000 to R 10.000,- BLIND !!!without having a chance to inspect the product or set-it- up before you buy. In other words: You have to go to another caravan / tent dealer to inform yourself properly about the product and then order via TAKEALOT to save maybe R 300....400.
I think that is totally unfair and stinks....
So did the GETAWAY EXHIBITION of last weekend.
Lots of caravans, Massive number of camping trailers , lots of accessories BUT NO TENTS....But expensive German cooking pots/pans for Induction cooking..even a wonder glue from Germany, shoe cleaner spray and lots of food stalls....
