Greetings I am in the throes of trying to decide on the purchase of a 1994 Penta (for R 40000) that is in outstanding condition. I know the owenrs of the caravan as well. One of my major concerns is towing it with my X Trail (diesel). I have taken the caravan for a test "tow" and the X trail appeared to cope well. Up a very long and steep hill on the N3 in the Natal Midlands I averaged 75 to 80 km/.h On the flats it towed comfortably at 100 to 110 km/h (100km/h on the GPS). I would be grateful to receive any thoughts and suggestions on the cararvan itself and the caravan / car combination. I am also undecided about whether or not it will be necessary to use a stabiliser when I tow? Many thanks in advance for any input and advice that can be offered. Angus (Pmb)

Hello Koos. Thank you for your reply. I will definitely be fitting a stabiliser. If you read this reply, would you be so kind as to tell me what stabiliser you use. Regards, Angus
