Hi Warren here is a new project for you. Nice looking trailer dont you think. they match quite well.
Bliksem......
Warren, if that trailer (Half a broken Landy?) still has its diff, what about connecting a winch motor to it. Place the winch motor on the a-frame and connect it to the diff with a propshaft, through an apprpriate gearbox. Then you've got a 6x6 for the difficult areas.
Dit sal daardie koppie besig hou!!!
Very nice ek gaan volgende jaar Warren join ek koop vir my ook n Defender 110
Andre, jou olifant se onderhoudskoste is laer.
ek wil n regte 4x4 ry nie n sandton queen of pavement crawler nie.
I like, en wil ook so een hê.
And as nice as it looks I have to ask, does that really get used or is it for bragging rights...
Now use, that Impresses me... Bragging rights? well it's just that... Hot air...
But still. I never thought of doing that, and it's something I'll put into my picture album, just in-case I come across a Landy that's been written off from the front.
The problem that I have with it, from a practicle point is that the tent is high up-top and you still have the problem of negotiating a ladder and you still have to erect the tent. That's why non of my tent trailers / bush trailer's ever worked for me.
Top of my priority when I conceptulised mine was (1) no ladder and (2) I want to be able to climb in and power sleep along the road without having to do anything and (3) to use what I had lying around the house so as to spend as little as possible.
My bragging rights... I dreamed it up, rough & ready as it is, still I made it and most important, it works 100 % for me...
Warren, Mr Gadget man, you wanna add this one??
