I have a 2008 Jurgens Exclusive with a 12V Inline water pump.
It worked until this weekend, where is stopped for a day, then started again for a day and then stopped again. There is no power to the pump (tested with a voltage meter with taps on), however the lights are working on battery. I have tried all three taps in the caravan. I am sure there is a relay somewhere that the taps activate which in turn sends power to the pump. Any ideas where this relay would be?
As far as I know Jurgens do not fit relays to activate the water pump. If there is one it should be close to the waterpump. I suspect you have a bad connection. Start looking by the fuse at the Apollo.
Andre disconnect the leads at the pump and connect 12V on it to confirm it is running if it is still in working order. After that you can hunt the loss of power. It does seem you have a off wire if you say it does not get 12V power.
Andre just under the tap in the cub board you will find the small black electrical connector block to the tap. This is just the positive wire to the pump, so all you need to do is loosen the screws and touch the two wires and see if the pump works.
At a stage the builders in the factory did not clean the plastic of the wires properly before the insert them in the connector block but just turned the screws through the plastic. I think this is what is wrong in your case.
Or maybe its a bit corrosion on the wires just clean and all should be well again.
If all three taps do not switch power to the pump it could be that the permanent +12v is intermittent. Replace the fuse to start with. On my 2015 Exclusive the tap switches switch the ground .....-12v. Jurgens does not fit a relay but some owners have done that. I fitted mine under the caravan close to the pump. Some fit it inside in the geyser & Hercules 10 box cupboard.
Welcome to the forum Andre.
Thanks everyone, problem solved. It was the fuse! Even though I looked at it at least 5 times and it is fine, it was seated badly and making intermittend contact. I swapped fuses around and it worked, so I figured out that it wasnt seated properly and now it works fine.
Thanks for all the responses, this is a great forum!
Welkom op die forum.
Glad you got it sorted out and that it was something small.
