Hi. I've recent bough a Jurgens Exclusive A caravan (I think it is an 1981 model) which I want to use as accommodation next to the Vaal. Everything is there but unfortunately are the three joints (three point joins for the sides and a four point joint for the middle) missing. The poles are looking like swimming pool cleaner poles and the universal joints that are available at camping places is to small to accommodate the poles. Please is there any one who has an idea how to resolve my problem. All caravan places do no have any idea how did the joints look. Did the previous joins go inside the poles or over the poles. If I have to do a modification, what must the length be from caravan to end on tent and from center pole to side pole. Info will be appreciated, or even info where can I can get such set of joints. Mayby i'll be lucky from from a caravanner to give me the lengths. that will make the modification easier.

My suggestion is buy a length of aluminium tubing with an outer diameter the same as the inner diameter of your existing poles. Cut off 50mm on the poles and insert a 150mm length of tubing so that it protrudes by 50mm giving you the original pole length. Pop rivit the two together. Now you have a smaller diameter end that will fit the joints for sale in shops.

I did bought myself a length 50mm, but the 50mm do not go in the original poles, The 50mm pole should be shrink up to round a bout two mm to be able to go inside the original poles. But thanks anyway for the hint.

As Hendrik have suggested it would be easier to make up your own fittings.

Buy the ones currently in use with all caravan tents and just make inserts for the that will fit both the fittings and your tent poles.

Depending on how much aluminum poles you need, it would be much cheaper to buy at Non Ferrous Metals (NFM) than at any campworld outlet

Thats great.  You do know that they are marked "L" and "R".

The joints is still with my Son, but ill receive them tomorrow.
