I just bought a lovely 1993 CVT 6B. An not just any 6B - I am pretty sure this is the best-kept and best-kitted 1993 model in the country. Yes, I know, everybody's dad is the strongest and kids the brightest, but his van is truly perfect in every way ... except it did not come with an owner's manual. The perfectionist in me needs things to be "complete". I found workable tent instruction on the interweb, but so I could not find a manual. I tried CI and they just said soory but no. So if anyone could help me with a photocopy or PDF scan it would be hugely appreciated.
Many thanks and best regards,
PS: Aplogies if you also follow the wegsleep forum ... I had no luck there hence teh cross-posting.
Francois, I don't think that the vans had any manuals at that time. It was fairly simple to set up the tent and the fridge came with its own manual as it is now. Now a days the caravans has Voltage regulators, waterlevel indicators, geysers, porta Potties and various specialized equipment that would need to have a manual to explain its operation.
How ever if you tell us what part on the van you struggle to operate, we maybe able to explain here on the forum how the items work. Just a suggestion.
I will have a look and see if I can find my manual and scan it for you. Mine is a caravette 6B '95. Should be the same?
Thanks for the replies.
Leon, its not that I struggle with anything. I know my way around caravans ... I had my first month long caravan holiday at the age of 3 months and "lived" in a 'van for more than two months per year untill I left school. I'm just a serious serial hoarder (my wife would say pathological hoarder) :)
Not that its really, really necessary but I have found tent instructions for the Gypsey Regal (the Caravette 6B should be very similar), an owner's booklet for the portapotti that came with, and the Al-ko brake and axle workshop manual. And I know I can get the Chargemaster wiring diagrams from Lehman's.
But all this doesnt satisfy my obsessive compulsive needs ... so a massive thank you to Marco - much appreciated! As far as I know the 6B had a couple of variations over time (large rear window got smaller, more cupboards around the back, large fridge became smaller, etc.) but fundamentally it is the same model.
Enige geluk met die opspoor en kopiering van die user manual? 'n Gawe bottel rooiwyn is op die spel hier ... :)
Dit klink lekker ek soek nou hard
